01What this site is
This is the press kit for VAXINE, a punk band formed in New York City in 2017. Every page here is a static HTML file. There is no login, no account, no shop, no comment box, no mailing list signup and no form of any kind. The site never asks you for your name, your email address or anything else, and it has no code of its own on the server that could store such a thing if you tried to give it.
In practice that means the only ways this site is connected to you at all are the ones described below: the ordinary logs any web server keeps, the embeds you choose to open, and an email you choose to send.
02Cookies, analytics and tracking
The site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder and no fingerprinting script. There is no consent banner on these pages because there is nothing for you to consent to.
Third-party embeds are the exception, and they set their own cookies once you open them. Section 04 covers exactly which ones and when.
03Hosting and server logs
The site is served by [PLACEHOLDER: hosting provider name and the URL of its privacy policy]. Like almost every web host, it keeps standard access logs. A log line typically records your IP address, the time of the request, which file was requested, your browser and operating system as your browser reports them, and the page you arrived from.
Those logs are created and held by the host under its own policy, not by the band. They are used to deliver the site and to deal with abuse and outages. Nobody in the band reads them for marketing, and they are not combined with anything else to build a profile of you.
04Third-party embeds
Parts of the press kit pull content from other companies. Those companies see your IP address and can set their own cookies, and what they do with that is governed by their policies, not this one. On this site none of them load on arrival. Each one is built only at the moment you click to open it, and it is removed again when you close it.
Bandcamp, for the records
Choosing a record opens the Bandcamp player in a frame served from bandcamp.com. Until you click, no request is made to Bandcamp at all. Once it is open, Bandcamp receives your IP address and browser information and may set cookies. See the Bandcamp privacy policy.
YouTube, for the videos
Clips hosted on YouTube open in a frame served from youtube-nocookie.com, which holds back the usual advertising cookies until playback starts. It is not anonymous. Google still receives your IP address and device information as soon as the player loads. See the Google privacy policy.
Video hosted here
Some clips are ordinary video files served from this site rather than from a platform. Those play in your browser and involve no third party.
The photo wall near the bottom of the press kit is not an Instagram embed. Those pictures are image files stored with the rest of the site, and each one is a plain link. Instagram and Meta learn nothing about your visit unless you follow one of those links, at which point you are on their service under their rules. See the Instagram privacy policy.
05Email
The booking address on this site is Mike@crawlspacebooking.com. Clicking it opens your own mail program. The message goes to an ordinary mailbox hosted by [PLACEHOLDER: email provider for the booking address], and that provider handles and stores it under its own privacy policy in the same way it handles all mail.
If you write in, we keep your message, your address and whatever you chose to tell us for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of a booking or a piece of press. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone outside the band and the promoter concerned, and we do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
06Your rights, and how to reach us
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to ask for a copy, to ask for corrections and to ask for deletion. Because this site collects nothing itself, the only records that exist on our side are emails you have sent us and any reply we sent back.
To ask about those, or to have them deleted, write to Mike@crawlspacebooking.com with enough detail to find the message. Post reaches us at [PLACEHOLDER: business mailing address]. The entity behind this site is [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name responsible for the site]. We will answer as quickly as we can. We are a band, not a company with a compliance desk, so please allow a little time.
07Changes
If the site starts doing something new, such as adding a mailing list, a store or analytics, this page gets rewritten before that goes live and the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history here. The date at the top is the whole story.
